We were up in New York again this weekend, this time to celebrate Linda’s baby shower.  Her sister Dawne threw the shower so I knew it would not disappoint.  We had an amazing Italian lunch followed by watching Linda open her gifts and refusing to read any cards in order to avoid the waterworks.

And no shower games!  Ah, the relief.  I didn’t even know it was possible to have a shower without games, but Dawne proved that it is and it was wonderful.

After the shower we headed over to my friends Brianna and Kyle’s apartment.  Brianna and I have been friends since the sixth grade, and I have hoards of embarrassing and awkward photos to prove it.

For as big of a dog lover as I am, I was surprisingly entertained by her cats.  Gob (pronounced like Job from the Bible, but actually named after the Arrested Development character) spent the entire weekend in the bathroom trying to convince me to turn on the faucet for him.  Right before I left I caved and turned it on, mostly because I wanted to see a cat get wet.

Their other cat Jimmy spent the entire weekend trying to convince me that he was a dog.  It was nearly impossible to get a picture of him because he kept trying to crawl into my lap as I was taking photos.

I don’t think I’ve quite converted over to liking cats (and my allergies certainly are dragging their feet) but these two made fairly convincing arguments.
