Two Years Ago Today…

I was getting ready to marry my best friend.  I’ve always felt incredibly lucky that I got to know my husband as a friend for two years before we ever started dating.

Over the past two years we’ve lived in three different cities, spent a majority of the time living in my parent’s basement, traveled to tropical locations, survived multiple blizzards and watched more football than I thought possible.

The hubs and I were both pretty excited yesterday, when for the first time in Forefront Church history they sang Brooke Fraser’s Lead Me to the Cross.  That was the song that I walked down the aisle to, two years ago today and every time I hear it I still get the chills.  So that was a pretty cool moment.

Now for a look back in history at the hubs and myself:

Officially dating, June 2007:

Engaged in New Zealand, October 2007:

And finally, married.  September 27, 2008:

We celebrated last night by going out to a nice dinner (after a full day of watching football, naturally) because I’m just too exhausted on weeknights to celebrate anything.  I can’t wait to see what will become of us in the many more years to come.
