Guess What I had for Lunch?

The other day the hubs had to run some errands after work so I came home, walked the dog and then started dinner. On my own! I, Joan Gilbert, started dinner. We had a pound of beef sitting in the fridge that needed to get used sooner rather than later. I decided that the best use for it would be in the shape of meatloaf. I got the meatloaf assembled and in the oven and even threw together a batch of corn muffins. Then I sat back and watched the oven do its job.

And by watched the oven do its job I mean watched tv.

When the hubs got home we sat down and started eating. Mid way through the meal he looks up and says, “Guess what I had for lunch today?”

“Um, pizza?”

“No, guess.”

“No one likes guessing games, tell me.”

“Meatloaf.”

“What?? We haven’t had meat loaf in who knows how long and you eat it for lunch today? Who eats meatloaf for lunch anyways?”

Then he looks at me and says, “You can’t make this stuff up.”

No, I guess you can’t.
