I Voted

Today I voted at the polls for the very first time.  This was the third presidential election I’ve participated in, but the first one I didn’t have to fill out an absentee ballot.  There’s just something so exciting about getting to go and fill out that ballot in person.

And I’m not going to lie, I was really excited to get my very first “I Voted” sticker. You know, you don’t get a sticker when you fill out an absentee ballot.  Unfortunately when I got to my voting location they didn’t have any stickers.  There was however quite a large cockroach running around.

I definitely feel like I got my full New York voting experience.

Joan – I was excited to get an “I Voted” sticker, too; however, there wasn’t one at my voting location. When I saw a co-worker’s sticker I decided I MUST HAVE ONE TOO! So I made my own & printed it on a sticker label!! I will email it to you so you can print your own!

  2. I didn’t get one in Chicago either; I’m jealous of those I’ve seen on the street sporting their stickers.

  3. bahaha, thanks for the laugh! I like to think I value my right to vote, but if I saw a cockroach I my vote or flight response would kick in and flight would DEFINITELY win.

I got a sticker… and then left it at home. What a waste of a vote, right??
