I’d seen some things floating around the web about how to painlessly break in new shoes, but I was more than skeptical. That is until I got a new pair of shoes that started killing my feet after three minutes.
So I decided to give it a try. Basically, all you do is put on a thick pair of socks and blast the shoes in the spots that are painful with a hairdryer. Walk around in them for a couple of minutes and repeat if necessary.
I gave this a half hearted attempt and then wore the shoes again the next day. And miraculously, they didn’t hurt. I dare say they were even comfortable.
You’re welcome.

I have been doing the thick socks trick for years and it does work. I wear them around the house for a couple of hours. I had not heard of the hairspray trick which I’ll try next time.
Maybe won’t have to wear the thick socks around the house for as long.
What’s the hairspray trick??
No hairspray trick- just the hairdryer one
