This week Jon and I made quite a bit of baby progress. Our apartment actually looks like a baby might take up residency soon.
Well, to be more accurate, there are lots of large cardboard boxes scattered around our living room that might give someone the impression that a baby may soon be moving in.
We hadn’t planned on buying our crib quite yet, but when I noticed it on an Amazon promotion we decided to go ahead and buy. I placed the order on Wednesday night and Friday afternoon we had a box containing a crib. Thank you, Amazon Prime.
Back before the holidays we had chosen out a storage system from Ikea for baby girl’s things. It’s actually a media cabinet that can be customized with doors and drawers, and since it’s going to be in our living room we figured it wouldn’t stick out quite as much as a dresser would. And it just happened to be on sale this weekend, so we also decided to go ahead and spring for that as well.
So now our apartment is littered with brown boxes, a half set up storage system and random crib parts. I promise I’ll share photos as soon as everything is set up, but right now I’ll spare you photos of the chaos.
At least now we can say that progress has finally started to be made. Next big thing on my list: assembling everything and finding room for it in the apartment. Easy enough, right?
