This past weekend we had my shower in New York with all of my amazing girlfriends here.  I even had college friends fly in to celebrate from Chicago and Buffalo, while my parents drove up from Maryland for the weekend.  Talk about making a girl feel loved!

Kelly threw the most beautiful and thoughtful shower, and I’m pretty sure everyone had an amazing time.

Does all that food look amazing or what?

I was especially touched by the thought our friends put into the gifts for our sweet little one.  My friend Kristin brought this adorable Mets board book and “My First Mets Shirt” that her husband had picked out.  He and Jon went to countless Mets games last summer and already have tickets to Opening Day this year, so the thought was extra sweet!

College friend Jillian brought this beautiful ABC book, with all black and white pen drawn illustrations.  I’ve already spent so much time enjoying the drawings and can’t wait to share them with baby.

And even though these Pantone books were on our registry, I love that our friend Sarah knew that Jon had put them there and selected them for him.

Then came the onesie decorating.  I’m pretty sure everyone was all, ‘Um… what the heck am I supposed to do with this white onesie??” and then all of a sudden little pieces of artwork starting popping up all around the room.  I seriously love every single one of them and am so excited to dress baby in them!

Thanks to Kelly and all of my amazing friends who made that afternoon so amazing.  I’m pretty sure I have the greatest group of friends.
