Funny Faces

the baloney bug

I took an unplanned break from the blog last week and used the time to get in some extra snuggles with Adelaide.  At six weeks old both she and I are starting to get a hang of this whole thing.  Each day seems a tiny bit easier.

We went to visit my parents last week and I spent a good amount of time driving around and enjoying some of the pleasures of living in suburbia.  Like parking lots and Target.

Except I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get the car seat into the base, and almost had a meltdown in the parking lot of Target.  But by the end of the week I had finally mastered the challenge that is the carseat.

City girl problems…

  1. Jean Remmert says:

THANKS for my birthday gift of this darling picture of sweet Adelaide! I just love it! LOVED seeing you guys this weekend! So blessed!

  2. We have the car seat that snaps in the base in the car and also snaps in the stroller and for some reason I could never get it snapped in the stroller, my poor baby girl was always tilting one way or another!

  3. Random question, how did you guys go home from the hospital? Cab? I always wondered how those without cars handle that…

    • We actually have a car (Jon needs it for work). If we didn’t have a car we would probably have a ZipCar subscription and would have done that. And if not ZipCar we would have probably used a car service or just gotten a cab. I actually heard a couple in the hospital debating over which option was best!

  4. Yay, so happy you’re back! Of course it’s important to enjoy your time with Adelaide, but I was constantly checking for a new post!

  5. That’s interesting- when we visited NYC with our daughter, I was surprised that car seats were not required in cabs- although it made me nervous, it sure was convenient to not haul the car seat everywhere.
