the baloney bug Growing up I was the best of friends with my cousin, and to this day we still talk every day. When I got pregnant a few months after my sister everyone was so excited that we’d have girls close in age. Unfortunately the distance is a bit far (you know, New York to New Zealand), but we’re doing just fine.

My sister and her husband were brave enough to take their 9 month old on a 24 hour journey to visit the family. We’ve been having so much fun taking the girls to the beach where we spent our summers as kids, lounging around and gawking over their sweet baby smiles.

Adelaide doesn’t really notice Siena, but Siena sure notices Adelaide. She crawls right over and reaches out with both hands, pulling Adelaide to her. My sister keeps repeating, “gentle, gentle” while I’m giggling non-stop at the cute.

We’re soaking up every single minute of these sweet babies.

  1. Adorable pics! I love that all the girls, including you and your mom, are wearing dark stripes. Too cute!

  2. Caroline says:

These are so cute!! It reminds me of us as babies. I would have been chunky and dark and you were tiny with light skin and red hair!

  3. I can’t even handle the cuteness in this post, Joan!!! I want to squeeze ALL THE BABIES! 😉
