Chincoteague

the baloney bug I was just a couple of weeks old the first time my parents brought me to Chincoteague, VA.  My family has been spending summers here since long before I was born, so it was so exciting to get to bring my own daughter this year.

Except instead of reading book after book, naps and happy hour it was a lot of sitting under the umbrella and making sure my little didn’t eat handfuls of sand.

Our pediatrician recommended that we avoid using sunscreen on Adelaide until she is 6 months old, so I found a couple long sleeve SPF 50 bathing suits that she lived in.  We shuttled her straight under the umbrella and her pale skin stayed nice and white.  the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug As I was sitting there under the umbrella, holding my baby all bundled up in a beach towel I couldn’t help but think, these are the days.

What a wonderful week it was. Beautiful family and sweetest baby ever! THANKS Jon for cooking ALL those delicious meal!!! Love you guys!!

  2. Great pictures! My mom just bought me a similar bathing suit for after my lo arrives. Hopefully I fit into it. You look great, can’t believe you just had a baby not too long ago.

  3. Hi! I found your blog through GBCN (actually, you gave me a West Elm coupon back in the Nest days-thanks!). Anyway, the swimsuit looks amazing on you! I’ve been doing one pieces for several years as well (thanks to the mom tummy) but I haven’t found one I’m in love with. How does Boden swimwear compare to Jcrew one pieces (if you have any?). I can do about a 4 at Jcrew. I just might have to order one from Boden!

    • Hey! I would size up for Boden. I got a size 2 and it’s tightttt. They often (if not always) have free shipping and returns, so it doesn’t hurt to order a few sizes :)

  4. What wonderful pictures of the beach adventure. It looks like it was a wonderful time!! What a great place to be with 90 degree days~ almost always an ocean breeze. I learned to dive at our yearly hotel stay outside of Ocean City. Very fond memories of the beach, boardwalk, spin art, and family! Hope to see you guys soon.
