London, Part 1

the baloney bug Apologies for the radio silence, blog friends.  Since the last time I posted we’ve been to um… 4 different countries.  We took a weekend trip to Toronto (pictures of that to come, sometime).  Then we took a little over a week trip to Europe where we spent a few days in London, a few days in Copenhagen and a very brief day trip across the border into Sweden.

Adelaide is nothing short of an amazing traveler.  She does so well on planes.  Generally she’s awake for boarding and then we nurse during takeoff, which paired with the white noise of the engines, puts her right to sleep.  I joke that the only time I get to watch movies is during plane rides when she’s asleep (this trip I finally watched Frozen, as well as American Hustle and Dallas Buyers Club).

Our flight to London was scheduled to depart NYC at 8:30pm, but we sat on the runway for a very exhausting 2 hours before finally taking off.  We landed the next morning in London on very little sleep only to hear that our hotel room wasn’t ready.  We decided to walk around and ended up catching the changing of the guards.  Then Adelaide and I ran around outside of Buckingham Palace for a while until she fell and then no one was happy.

the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug I swear all I do these days is chase this girl.  She is FAST. the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug Adelaide’s top and shoes // My sweatshirt, pants are old Gap (similar) and  shoes (on sale!) the baloney bug Oh hey, stroller.  I’ll try to do a post one of these days about how we make it through the airport.  We’ve brought our stroller on every flight we’ve ever taken, but always checked it at the desk and I wear Adelaide through security and the airport.  And then I get a chuckle at all the other parents trying to get that thing through security. the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug the baloney bug These next few photos were taken at the end of the day when we were walking back to our hotel and realized there were way less people outside and tried to snap a few more photos:

London, you were too good to us.

Maybe enough photos for you for one day – but NEVER ENOUGH for us!!! Love seeing her enjoying life! Such a carefree, happy little spirit!! Glad she travels well …. she has been many more places than her Grammy has ever been!! GO ADELAIDE!!! So glad you both have these amazing opportunities! See you soon! RIchard commented that Brady has definitely become “MY DOG” these past 3 weeks! He’s my buddy. I think Butterscotch is a bit put out at times but when I wake up with two dogs sleeping on my bed I know they both love me!!

Adelaide’s mocs are so cute! You all are always so well dressed, even after a long plane ride, it’s impressive!
