A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks.  I became an auntie to the sweetest baby girl (and found out that I’ll be having a girl as well), I baked my little heart out, fall tv started…  Ahh, fall tv.  It’s like a consolation prize for the weather getting cold.

I’ve been finding myself walking around the streets of New York with a big dopey smile plastered on my face.  Yep, life is good.

Last week was overall uneventful.  Coming back from vacation and going back to an inbox full at work is always a bit of a harsh reality.  And hubs left a day after we got back for yet another business trip, so the week was mostly Brady and me snuggling on the couch catching up on a very full DVR.  Brady loves the Real Housewives.

I’m excited about the week ahead- having hubs home, plans with friends and slightly cooler temperatures.  Have I ever mentioned that I love summer?

Who can complain about an amazing family week at the beach?  There’s been lots of sun, ice cream, walks on the beach and swimming for Brady.  That dog loves to swim.  I’ve been letting him run in the muddy water that he loves so much and then clean off with a swim in the bay.  The smile on that dog’s face is seriously priceless.  Yes, life is good.

Apparently last week I took more photos of food than I did the whole time I was in Spain.  Last week was crazy and great and so freaking hot.  I only took one picture of our Fourth of July celebration (that amazing “pork explosion” pictured above) but I can gaurantee there was lots of booze, barbecue and patriotic attire involved.

Now I just have to make it through two more days at the office before I go to the beach with my parents.  Bring it on.

Last week was only what can be described as summer at its best.  Warm days, sleeping with the windows open, beer on the balcony, night time walks for froyo… I took far too many afternoon coffee walks.  I accidentally sent a cocktail shaker to my dad instead of to me (darn you Amazon for making ordering so darn easy that I forget to even check the shipping address).  I bought new socks.

Oh yea, it was a crazy week up in here.  Here’s to another great one.

This was the first week where it actually felt like summer.  I feel a little cheated, but it’s okay, I’ll take what I can get.

Hubs is finally back from his seven million business trips so I’m a happy gal.  Summer plans: hit up the beach as many times as possible and figure out new ways to take crazy pictures of my dog.  All in a days work.
